They both have loved music as long as they can remember. Benjamin cut his teeth on the Christian artistry of Dallas Holm and the Imperials, moving on to Carman, and eventually the masterful songwriting of Steven Curtis Chapman. It was listening to Chapman when Ben first began to write his own songs, adding them to congregational worship at Red Hook New Life Center in Brooklyn, NY — where he first lead worship at the urban church plant his mother and father started.

At St. John’s University Ben started and headed up an ecumenical prayer and praise group. After earning his degree in computer science, he spent several months ministering in Israel, which led to another crop of songs and cemented his desire to continue in that vein.

Upon returning to North Carolina, Ben first met Jessica. Jessica had been winning talent competitions with her amazing voice since she was a little girl. With a little input from Ben, Jessica won first prize as a solo vocalist in a national teen talent competition. In the following years they married and Jessica earned her degree in vocal performance from Evangel University (Springfield, MO).

Together they have led worship at Trinity Worship Center and Burlington Assembly (Burlington, NC), King’s Chapel (Springfield, MO), and Eternity Church (Salisbury, NC).

They completed their freshman album, Beautiful Sound, in late 2010.

They now have two boys, Caleb(3) and Joshua(2) and live in Salisbury, NC.
